Born in the obot akara suburb of abak ukpong, Akwa ibom state, “KING OBOY1″ is a voice in the emerging Afrobeats/hip_hop movement,His music is a blend of Afrobeats, afropop, R&B, afrobeat, reggae, dancehall, and hippop and rap. He began recording music at the age of 23 and released his first single titled”NAIJA”, “KING OBOY1” owns a record label which known as YKR (YOUNG KING’S RECORD). He rose to the limelight after releasing “NAIJA”, the lead single from his debut studio singles.
